Matt Surkont is the founder and Managing Partner of Lodestone Capital. An entrepreneur at heart, Matt is driven by growing businesses. Matt has been involved in the start-up, development and exit of a number of successful technology companies including Lodestone (re-branded Resolve Red), Resolve Mobile and TxPoint.

Matt was the founder and Managing Director of Lodestone (Resolve Red). Lodestone (Resolve Red) is an Oracle partner practice which provides specialised enterprise products and services to blue chip clients. Resolve Red is recognised by Oracle as one of the top 6 partners in South Africa. Over several years, along with a great team, Matt developed Lodestone (Resolve Red) into a 45 employee Oracle business. Lodestone (Resolve Red) produced phenomenal results experiencing average profit and revenue growth of 115% year on year. Matt successfully exited Lodestone (Resolve Red) in August 2015.

Matt was a Founding Partner and Director of Resolve Mobile. Resolve Mobile is a specialised mobility products and services provider. Resolve Mobile provides WeChat products and services as well as niche branding and activation mobile solutions to various enterprise clients. Matt successfully exited Resolve Mobile in March 2015.

Matt was a Founding Partner of TxPoint. TxPoint is an online toll management solution used to manage e-toll costs for large fleets. TxPoint is an Imperial Holdings product currently managing toll costs for most of Imperial Logistics as well as a number of other large enterprise and fleet clients.

Matt Surkont has an honours degree in Business Science (Information Systems) from the University of Cape Town and over 20 years’ experience in the information technology industry.
